Why did I want it today, just like three score and four years ago I am embarking on another new beginning, I'm moving. It is the 4th time in as many years that I am moving, and this is probably just a temporary move at that.
Just like that morning I am feeling afraid, tired and excited. My life was about to change at it's core just as this move to Halifax Nova Scotia will have a significant impact on me.
Strangely enough my daughter is the main reason for the change this time as well. She moved there last year and I am going to be close to her, to be a family again, but not in the same house lol.
What I didn't know then, that I know now is, I will grow into the change, one step at a time and I do not have to do it alone.
Oh, and I'll keep lots of Cream of Wheat and brown sugar on hand.
I am eating Cream of Wheat right now, it's hot so I'm typing while it cools.
Cream of Wheat is COMFORT FOOD for me. Has been ever since I was served a bowl the morning after I had given birth to my daughter. Not having filled out a breakfast menu, not having expected to be there for breakfast, they served up a watery bowl of cream of wheat to which I added a generous portion of brown sugar. I had always like Cream of Wheat, but from that breakfast on it became it took it's place on my top ten list of Comfort Foods.
